Finally!

I am finished with my holiday cards! I have been putting this off for weeks and trying to come up with a card that did not have a lot of layers and bulk, but were still fun and festive. Thanks to Kate, at i {heart} papers, I finally was inspired after she sent me an adorable card using this Petallo Dazzler snowman....Thanks Kate!

To make this card I cut an oval in the center of the cardstock, then cut a larger oval in red and placed it on the inside of the card. The scallop was made using two nesties together and then cut in the wizard. I also used the Swiss Dots cuddlebug folder, white gel pen, and ribbon!

Thanks for looking!

i {heart} papers Design Team Challenge

For this month's i {heart} papers design team challenge we CASED a sketch that you can find here. The original card was so beautiful...the angles are so interesting! I used this fantastic paper from Jillibean Soup called White Macaroni and PTI Chocolate that I ran through the Swiss Dot cuddlebug folder. The thank you sentiment is from the Inkadinkadoo set called All Occasions. I embellished with this fantastic Daisy Felt Flower and a button tied with some scrappers floss.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Thank You

I made this card for the limited supply challenge on SCS. Here were Wendy's rules: There are really only TWO rules for today's challenge. The first is to create a "thank you" or "Thanksgiving" type of card. The second (which is the kind of odd part - not sure where it came from, but I decided to use it) is to include a bird of some sort on your card somewhere.
I used the Hero Arts Thank You Cling image for my card, available at i {heart} papers I think these cling stamps are my new favorite stamps. I colored some of the image with copic markers and ran my PTI Sping Moss back panel through the cuddlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. The bird is a Martha Stewart punch. Don't tell Wendy, but after I posted my card, I took the bird off!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Happy Thanksgiving

How cute are these little Thanksgiving chicks! These adorable Stampendous Cling Plymouth Chicks they are colored with copic markers. The paper is from My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow, and PTI Chocolate. The sentiment is also a Stampendous Cling called Graceful Thanksgiving. If you have not seen these cling stamps before they are awesome, they are rubber cling and the image is printed on the back side so you can see where you are stamping the image....very cool! I also used Mercy's sketch challenge #47 for my layout! The Images and paper are both available at i {heart} papers.

Sparkly Snowflake

Happy Pez-A-Doodle Friday! I don't know what got into me today, but I was in a glitter and sparkle mood and it all started with this one super cute Pez-A-Doodle Snowflake Skittle that is in the middle of the card! It all started when I put the snowflake skittle inside the blingy snowflake, then the card took on a life of its own, and this it what I ended up with. The paper is Memory Box Dewfrost and Doodlebug Design glitter paper. The blingy snowflake is from Prima Say It With Crystals, and the fab ribbon is May Arts Satin. Both the Dewfrost paper and satin ribbon are available at i {heart} papers.

Fall

I made this card for the limited supply challenge on SCS. the challenge was to make a fall card using only paper, ink and stamps. No embellishments were allowed, we could use nesties and punches. I always think these are the hardest challenges and you either need a fantastic image or fantastic paper. I chose to go with this fantastic paper from s.e.i called Morovia Sanov to make my card pop. I also did a layering of Label Four Nesties. Both the paper and Label Four Nesties are available at i {heart} papers! I also used a Hero Arts pumpkin image, outline images from Waltzingmouse, and the paper crimper. Thanks for taking a peek!
