Brooke and Tommy and Some Blog Candy!

This is Brooke and Tommy my great niece and nephew that I watch during the week. Brooke is almost two and a half and Tommy is six months. My sister, their grandma, thought it would be fun to dress them up and take holiday pictures now so she could get an early start on her holiday cards. Now this first picture is just delightful, Awwww, look at those angelic faces! This would be the perfect picture to put with a card, but this one did not make the cut......

This will be the holiday picture going out this year!

These pictures have put me in a holiday mood, so just leave a comment and you could win the new Petal Press Release Sleigh Ride! I will pick a random winner Friday night. Thanks for taking a peek!

Sparkly Snowflake

Happy Pez-A-Doodle Friday! I don't know what got into me today, but I was in a glitter and sparkle mood and it all started with this one super cute Pez-A-Doodle Snowflake Skittle that is in the middle of the card! It all started when I put the snowflake skittle inside the blingy snowflake, then the card took on a life of its own, and this it what I ended up with. The paper is Memory Box Dewfrost and Doodlebug Design glitter paper. The blingy snowflake is from Prima Say It With Crystals, and the fab ribbon is May Arts Satin. Both the Dewfrost paper and satin ribbon are available at i {heart} papers.

We Have A Beaver

I actually have a beaver chopping down a tree in my backyard! We have a creek that runs through our yard. It's a pretty big creek too, about twenty feet deep and wide. It all started last year when we had a huge flood. The creek is usually pretty low, most times you can see the bottom. Here is a picture from the start of last years flood. The tree Bucky is chopping down is on the right.

Here is a picture of the flood waters getting higher, and into my yard. I won't post anymore flood pics, but the water surrounded my house, thanks to all my sand bagging efforts, the water never got in my house!

Flash forward to this summer. Now we have all kinds of wildlife in our yard! because of the flood so many animals were displaced. Bambi lived in my yard most of the summer.

Remember the tree in the first picture, well, Bucky the Beaver is chopping it down. This is a huge cottonwood tree. See in between the two trees, I think that is where Bucky and his family live now. They are building a Damn.

Here is a closer look! Bucky only comes out a night, so I am not able to get a good picture of him. I will keep you posted on his progress!
