My Camera Is A Hoot /Blog Candy
Sooooo, I went out today and bought a new camera, the Canon Rebel T1i. I want to use it for my cards and for regular family pics. I tried taking close ups of my cards and it does not zoom far enough in, sooooo I go and spend more of DH $$$$$ and buy a zoom lens, now it wont let me shoot that close I have to be farther away. Anyway I think I took about 300 pictures of this card and this is about the best one. It's a good thing I love this adorable Suink You're A Hoot set, because I have looked at this image all day! I will tell you what, tell me honestly what you think of this pic and Tuesday night I will pick a random entry and you could win the You're a Hoot set!

Super CUTE Cathleen!! Love this little owl and your sketch is awesome :) Have a super "stampy" week!! xXx
To me I'm not seeing anything wrong with the picture. I'm up late, so if my eyes aren't working right, and I see something different in the morning with fresh eyes, I will let you know.
And I love the papers and gorgeous ribbon!
Fabulous card Cathleen. Love the image and the great colouring. Hugs Michele x
Beautiful Card! I love the colours and the image is so cute!
Big Hugs Tanja
First of all the card is fantastic! I really like the layout and that stamp is great. The other thing I'd have to say about the picture is the background behind the card seems a little dark (to my eyes and got up at 5am so my eyes may be seeing things weird!)
I love this little Hooter!! I love the layout you created Cathleen, and I'm so sorry you had to go through all the rigamarole to get a picture! Worth all the effort, GF!
The card is really cute….. But you said honestly, and that’s what I do – I would edit the photo….you can have the greatest camera in the world but to make it look good online, you’ve got to edit it…well, I guess you don’t have to, but most people would tell you that you should. I would sharpen it to get some crisp edges around the image area…and I would definitely lighten it up so that your colors are more defined…and they pop. Your treehouse card looks better - - more defined color....that one would just need sharpening.
what a beautiful card, its amazing ;)
I agree with Michelle, I think you just need to edit the lightness in a photo editing program. I often just use the auto edit feature, but sometimes have to play a bit.
As I mentioned on the thread for the group, try the macro setting on the camera, too, without the big lens.
It is a great card tho...love the image and layout.
