Embrace The Crooked Card
Don't you just hate it when you spend all day making a card and it does not turn out! This card is a perfect example of why my blog is called Crooked Card Creations. I thought I was putting the layers on straight! I guess my head was tilted when I was putting together this card. Now I will have to give this card to my Mother. My mom is 83, she is in great shape and still has all her wits, whenever I give her a card she takes it apart and puts the main image in a frame. I don't know why she does this, she also hoard tin foil so go figure!! So she usually gets any card that is crooked, because I know she will take it apart. Thanks for looking and just tilt your head and everything will look straight!

Thank you Hearts
I made this card for the Limited Supply Challenge over at SCS. The challenge was to use or recycle something on your card. I had started the layout for this card a few weeks ago right in the middle of preparing for my holiday parties so it wound up in my scrap pile. I am so glad I went through my scraps because this brand new sheet of GDD Studio paper from i {heart} papers was in there. I love this paper, as a matter of fact I orders several sheets of this paper and I think I will need to order more. The sweet flowering heart image from Impression Obsession is also availabe at i{heart} papers. The wrap around the sentiment is the flourish punch from EK Success. I just punched out the florish and wrapped it around the oval. Thanks for looking!

Sorry I Forgot
Isn't this the cutest image! When my Niece Brooke saw this card this morning she was all excited that their was an elephant on it. She is just about nineteen months old and her vocabulary skills have just exploded. She wanted to kiss the elephant, so I had to upload really fast before it had kid kisses all over it! This image is from Our Craft Lounge and is available at i {heart} papers. Kate (the owner) has new items arriving almost daily. Tea For Two
After two days of hosting parties, I am really ready to get back to stamping! I am already holidayed out, so I decided to make a card with spring colors today. This image reminds me of the time my twin sister, Catherine, and I went to Marshall Fields on State Street in Chicago to have High Tea in the Walnut Room. We were Christmas shopping and knew that it would probably be the last year that the store would be Marshall Fields (before becoming Macy's). We sat next to the 45-foot tree adorned with Swarovski crystals as the waiters brought three-tiered platters of scones, tea sandwiches, and sweets--which were REALLY sweet! Everything was just perfect, until we ate the sweets, because of course, they were REALLY sweet. To top off our High Tea we had, obviously, tea. But this was not the herbal tea that you drink before you go to bed. This was the kind of tea that they made with the leaves in front of us and had some insane amount of caffine in it. Needless to say, my sister and I were bouncing off the walls of the Walnut Room with all of the caffine and sweets (they were REALLY sweet) that we had just consumed. It was such a great memory and I am so happy that we got to experience it before Marshall Fields closed.

Sentiment: Hero Arts

Happy Birthday Sara
This card is for my daughter Sara's 23rd birthday. Ever since she was a little girl she loved to dress up. I can remember going shopping when she was ten or eleven and she would stare at the high heels and the jewelry in the stores, and she would say "I can't wait until I am old enough to wear all of this." Well, I am happy to say that she dresses up every day for work in heels and fabulous jewelry!
When I saw this Rubber Romance image I knew right away that this was going to be Sara's birthday card. Thanks for looking and Happy Birthday Sara!
