i {heart} papers Wide Ribbon Challenge And Contest!

Every Month the i {heart} papers design team has a challenge, this month the challenge was to use wide ribbon. I love, love, love wide ribbon and use it all the time on my cards. For this card I used the luxurious May Arts silk ribbon. It makes such pretty bows and is so easy to tie. The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Porcelain pack. I used the new Spica mint glitter pen on the flower tips and to highlight the thanks, it is just the right amount of sparkle IRL.

Threehouse Thursday Thank You

This is for todays TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE - 3x3 Note Card Box/Treat Box. The tutorial for a darling little box and can be found HERE at Splicoast Stampers website. Well, as you can see I do not have a box. I think you all know by now how terrible I am at making 3-D projects. I tried three times and could not get it to look the way I wanted. So instead I made 3x3 note cards and put them in a clear box and tied it with a fabulous silk ribbon! The thank you sentiment is from the Treehouse Lovely Lily set and just happens to be on sale!

Ladies Ink 3-D Challenge

I made this cute little purse for the blogger group I belong to called Ladies Ink. The challenge was to make a 3-D item. Nothing scares me more than making a 3-D project! I am just not that good at cutting, folding, and scoring things, until I found this adorable template from K & Company called Paper Purses. The template is printed right on the paper, I just had to cut, fold and glue everything together and then I added my own embellishments. I think it turned out kind of cute!

Paper: K & Company paper Purses Accessories: May Arts Metallic String, Button, Sparkle Gems, Flowers

Sunflowers

I made this card for the Features Stamper challenge on SCS. The honor this week went to Minnidr (Diane). I chose to case this card. I thought my card was going to be very similar to Diane's. I knew I wanted to use the swirls/flourishes and somehow I ended up with sunflowers! In order for the swirls to fit I had to make this card big, it's almost an A7. I haven't made a card this big in a long time. Thanks for taking a peek!

Stamps: Me and Carrie Lou Sunflowers
Paper: PTI White, SU Chocolate Chip
Accessories, Nesties, Sizzix Swirls Die, Clip, Copic Markers, So saffron Ribbon

I also used a Martha Stewart border punch, lace ribbon, prima paper roses, and pearls. Thanks for taking a peek!

Color Challenge Gone Wrong!

I made this card for the color challenge at Treehouse Stamps. The colors are suppose to be rose red, certainly celery, and pretty in pink. I have a very limited supply of SU colors and I just could not get those colors to work for me. But I do have red, green and a touch of pink in the clouds on this card! I really wanted to use this adorable rainbow and sentiment on my card fron the Little Sunshne set, even if the colors are off a bit...ok a lot!

Accessories: copic Markers, Corner Punch, Spica Glitter Pens

Blog Award From Charlene ( Where M&M's Gather)

I just received this lovely blog award from my sweet friend Charlene, she has a brand new fun blog called Where M&M's Gather.

Now, as with any of these blog awards, the idea is to pass on the appreciation to fellow bloggers.
There a couple of fun "rules" (well, more like guidelines) to this award:

Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award, and his or her blog link.

Pass the award to 15 other blogs that you’ve newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.

I have just joined a new Blogger group called Ladies, Ink and I would love to pass on this award to all of you!
