Purple Birthday

I am really not a purple person. I like purple, but if I wear something purple I always feel self conscious. So when I saw the Verve challenge on SCS and we were asked to make a card in purple, I went to my paper stash and could only find four pieces of purple paper. I thought wow this really is a challenge! So here is what I came up with.

To make this card I used Verve stamps Fluttering By and Birthday Surprise, The paper is from The paper Company and the ribbon is Offrey. The Butterfly is stamped with white ink , and I applied Hero Arts Prisma Glitter using the quickie glue pen. The border punch is Martha Stewart. Thanks for taking a peek!

Merry and Bright or The Ten Minute Christmas Card

If you are from the Chicago area then you know that everything is measured in ten minutes. If you ask how far some place is we will never give you the miles, it always takes ten minutes, whether its five miles or twenty five miles. If you ask how long it takes to do something it always takes ten minutes. This card really took me seven minutes to make, but in Chicago time it took ten minutes.
My sister asked me to help her come up with ideas for her Christmas cards. She is not a card maker, so she wanted it to be simple yet elegant, and only take ten minutes.

To make this card I used Paper Source Red and PTI white paper. The Stamp is from hero Arts. I ran the background paper through the cuddlebug using the snowflake folder. This image is stamped in Memories Cherry Red ink and then gone over with the quickie glue pen and Hero Arts Prisma Glitter. I also used Martha Stwerts Border Punch. Thanks for looking!

Poinsettia Swirl

I made this card for the Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS. The challenge was to use your white gel pen. When I saw this image on the Impression Obsession web site I knew this was going to be my image for my Christmas Cards this year. I will probably use a much simpler layout since I will be making about twenty-five cards. To make this card I stamped the image on PTI White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers. The red paper is from The Paper Source. I ran one layer through the cuddlebug useing the swirl folder. I used liquid pearls mixed with glitter for the inside of the flowers and the two larger circles. The corners are EK Success Scallop Corner punch, and White Gel pen was used as an accent down the sides. Thanks for taking the time to take a peek at my card!

Anniversary Heart

I made this card for my daughters girlfriend to give to her parents for their anniversary. I asked her if she wanted cutsy or fancy, she picked fancy. Everyone wants a fancy card these days!
I love the look of a solid stamp, I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time getting the image to stamp out evenly. I think I must have stamped five of these hearts before I got one to look decent. To make this card I used Yours Truly Metallic Opal and PTI Brown for the cardstock, I ran the Opal Metallic through the cuddlebug. The corner pieces are cuddlebug dies. The Heart is stamped with PTI Chocolate, I did add some liquid pearls with limited success. The Ribbon is PTI Chocolate. Thanks for looking!

Flourishes Love

I made this card a few month ago, I was the Featured Stamper at Flourishes. I was so excited I think I sent a picture of this card to everyone I knew. This is probably my favorite card, it is so delicate and so pretty in real life. To make this card I used the Flourishes Damask and Reverse Damask stamps. On the top panel I used White ink stamped on vellum, then used the quickie glue pen over the white and sprinkled Hero Arts Prisma Glitter. The bottom panel is stamped in the Reverse Damask. I used white ink and stamped on Bazzill Pink cardstock. The ovel was cut with Nestabilities and stamped with Love from Flourishes Words. I added a delicate pink satin ribbon and prima flowers to finish off the card. Thanks for taking a peek!

This card is for the Limited Supply Challenge on SCS. We were to make a coffee card, and the colors had to be in orange. The back round is cuddlebuged, and I used Nestabilities for the circles. The ribbon is Martha Stewrt, and the leaves are assorted punches from Tonic and Marvy. Thanks for taking a peek at my card!
